REPAIR OF ROADS

Taking cognizance of the grievances of the citizens of Rayagada, the district administration instructed the PWD to repair the potholes on a war footing. Accordingly PWD has started the repair of the SH-4 ( KV road town portion upto JK Pur and SH-5 ( Amlabhatta to Kalahandi border via Muniguda).
Incidentally both these roads have been taken up for widening to foru and double lane respectively. SH 4 part will be executed under the Vijaywada -Ranchi corridor project and SH5 from a special scheme for road infrastructure for naxal affected areas from Govt. Of India funding. M/S Mukambika constructions, vishakapatnam, will execute the SH4 for laning work, while GVR constructions, Chennai will be doing the double laning of SH5.
