As part of the winter study tour of the IAS Officer trainees, a batch of 16 officers of the 2011 batch of the Group no. 4 are visiting Rayagada district for studying the tribal development, what is known as tribal attachment.
The group reached Rayagada on 09.01.12 night and the next day, after interaction with the Collector Rayagada, who gave an overview of the tribal development, they proceeded to the Ekalavya Model Residential School and The DKDA Chaitkona. They visited a couple of schools, including the Khajuri village of the Dongaria Kandhas.
On 11th January they are visiting the Gunupur sub division, where they will interact with the Sub Collector Gunupur and the PA ITDA Gunupur about Forest Rights act and OTELP project. Then they are to visit the Lanjia Saura development Agency ( LSDA) at Puttasingi.
Their tour will be over on 11th Jan 2012.
